BORDERLINE DISORDER: BETWEEN IMPULSIVENESS AND ADDICTION. PARENTING AT RISK: ASSESSMENT AND ATTACHMENT ORIENTED INTERVENTION

This lesson will focus on two connected issues: borderline disorder literature around emotion regulation –impulsive and dysfunctional behavioral patterns – and how to set up interventions to reduce impulsiveness and addiction. The reason of the connection between impulsiveness, addiction and self and others harming behavior will be explained, as well as the treatment’s strengths to break this connection. The discourse will be structure around development topics, particular attention will be paid to multi-problematic adolescents.
