The course presents the most updated theoretical references around trauma, within attachment theoretical framework, paying attention to attachment disorganization during the life cycle.

Disorganized attachment has been found being an important factor for socio-emotional development vulnerability. The aim of the course is to provide participants with a review of the indicators and risk-factor of trauma, within last twenty years of research. Particular attention will be payed to the discussion of disorganized attachment indicators, as well as to the development results linked to it in every life-cycle phase. Neurobiological and caregiving variables will also be considered in defining disorganized attachment.

The course is addressed to students and professionals operating with family service, minors’ legal protection, family mediation, adoption. Mental health and addiction professionals will find a useful instrument to analyze socio-emotive resource and parental skills of patients.
